Tenuta Viglione

Azienda Agricola Tenuta Viglione is created following the ancient traditions of viniculture of the Zullo family who since the 800 produces wines in the territory between Santeramo in Colle, Gioia del Colle and Matera.
Tenuta Viglione is located on the highest point of the area of the D.O.C. wines of Gioia del Colle at 497 meters from sea level.
Throughout the years, the best quality of Primitivo, which has the characteristic of resisting the strong thermal changes of the area, has been selected to produce a wine of excellent quality.
Nowadays, the company Tenuta Viglione is lead by Giovanni Zullo who has renewed entirely the vineyards and enhanced the old Masseria in order to use it as company headquarter. A tourist complex is also in its final stage of construction because the company is located along a tourist route which includes the historical Via Appia Antica, the city of Madera and Altamura which is famous for the ancient dinosaurs’ imprints.
