Marpione
2001 Riserva
The Marpione wine is named after the agricultural
culture with which this Primitivo Riserva was identified, and also
for its easiness to be appreciated.
The harvest was excellent and was done between September the 15th
and September the 20th. Afterwards, the wine was refined for 24
months in large oak barrels and 4 months in barrique.
The wine has a ruby red color with very intense violet hints, and
a perfume of ripen red fruits with a full and velvety taste. It
goes well with roasted red meats and wild meats.

PRI-MIT-IVO
2001
The history of this vineyard goes back to the
1700 when it was cultivated by the Benedettini monks of the monastery
of Gioia del Colle.
This wine is produced by plants that are 20 years old; It is than
aged for 12 months in stainless steel containers and refined for
12 months in bottle.
The 2001 harvest is very good for quality because the area where
the vineyard is located received the right quantity of rain. This
